The renovation of Harold Henry Park will enter the construction phase beginning on Tuesday (Nov. 4th) or Wednesday (Nov. 5th). The construction areas will be enclosed by a chain link fence and the contractor is making every effort to keep as much of the perimeter areas accessible for park users.
The first few weeks will be mostly demolition including the current picnic area concrete pad and walkways that are being replaced or refurbished. There are no plans to remove any of the large trees, though some smaller ones may be replaced. Existing plantings are being removed and repurposed elsewhere and new California native and pollinator-friendly plantings will replace them.
SAVE THE DATE: A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Monday, November 10 at 9am.
We will post updates on the progress as we get them.
UPDATE (Nov. 11): Demolition work has begun on the picnic area platform and the fencing of certain areas. Prepare for some noise during daytime working hours for the next week.
